Maximum March Size (by keep level)
1/28/2024 – Updated K37, K38, K39, K40.
Here is a reference value of the maximum number of troops per march (march size) for each keep level. (Keep levels 26 to 40).
Note – This is NOT A PERFECTLY ACCURATE maximum value.
The reason for this is that there are factors (below) that can increase your march size regardless of your keep level.

- etc.
Stating the maximum values for these will not be practical for many people, as they are quite rare cases.
Therefore, these are listed based on my personal assumption that this is how many people are likely to be at this keep level.
Note that there is room to raise the number of march sizes in this article further.

Hi firstly, great guide, thanks. I recently increased my pegasus lvl and started getting a msg on solo marches that i had exceeded my max capacity (i was using a 50% buff and custer) i am k33 and the limit is 1269735. I don’t understand which buffs / increases increase the capacity limit and which don’t, can you help me understand?
I would also like to see the maximum number of troops for research only, without VIPs, ranks, dragons, etc.
The breakdown is listed so you only need to look at the research portion.

I always use the list here to cross-check my march sizes.
Updates I have come across are:
*Mil Academy/Siege/Strike 1=12%
*Civilization Treasure lvl4=22.5%
Even after applying those, I recently miss a +15% (i.e. march size is actually larger than the calculation).
It is irrelevant to generals, as it is there across the board and for all marches.
But I cannot find from where it comes from (and whatever it is, it is not included in the list here).
I would be grateful id someone can help to locate the “phantom” 15% buff 🙂

The Imperial Seal in Civilization Treasure has a passive buff that adds to march size capacity. The getting it to lvl3 adds 15% to march size.
I have this problem, but it is not imperial seal. my imperial seal is 22.5%. I am K38.

You are not considering the military academy
I believe the importance of Toyotomi Hideyoshi is being understated.
His skill provides 5% march size, and 5% march attack and hp.
However if you maximize his specialization 3 and 4 skill he provides another 16% march size to your castle when set as the Rally spot duty officer. This is absolutely non trivial as there are very few means to get such a large ( 21% total ) boost towards end game. Given how powerful this effect is, he is definitely a candidate to invest S3 and S4 rune stones on.
