This is a summary of the main methods and events, etc to obtain the golden historic generals (i.e., epic historic generals).

Note that almost all generals other than gold (white, green, blue, purple) can be obtained at the tavern.

Basics 1: Tavern, Relic, General Chest

These 3 are relatively easy ways to get golden historic generals without paying for them.
You will not get the latest generals, and many generals have become outdated, but you can also get some that are still useful today.

Tavern

By paying gold, you can get the following generals

• Historic generals (blue, purple, some gold)
• Non-Historic generals (white, green, blue, purple, gold)

Gold historic generals can also be obtained, but only some of them. Many attackers and defenders are outdated and weak.

However, there are many usable monster-hunting generals, resource-gathering generals, duty officers, and subordinate-city mayors, and most players will hire many of them from the tavern.

Relic Chamber

You can get a “fragment” of a voucher for a historic general. (Only some generals)
If you collect 30 fragments, you will get one general.

There are more new and useful generals than in the ” Great Generals Chest” described later.

Although it takes time to collect the fragments, it is still a relatively easy and reliable way to get a general, so players without money should focus on the relic generals if aiming for the Red Star 5.

Elektra is the highlight.

Great General Chest

Located in 2 places:

• Tavern
• Store

Each can be opened once a day for free.

Basically, you can get ” fragments ” of historic generals.
If you are lucky, you even get the general itself. (Only some generals in each case).

Shajal a-Durr and George Dewey are the highlight.

You can also get duty officers, but you can also get them at the tavern, so if you are aiming for 5 red stars, it is faster to collect them at the tavern.

Compared to the relic, it takes much longer to accumulate the fragments (it is not unusual for it to take more than a year).

Basic 2: Generals Vouchers

This item gives you one of the generals at random.
There are various types of these vouchers, and which generals you will receive will vary.

The generals included in the vouchers can be found in the game by looking at the details of the voucher.

The higher the number of generals included, the lower the probability of winning the general you want.

Epic Historic General (Premium)

This is probably the most basic one.
With this, you will randomly get one of the golden historic generals that you can’t get at the tavern.
It also makes it easier to get the latest generals. (The odds of winning are set relatively high.)
The main way to get this is through the $99.99 paid package, but there are other ways to get it, and you can get it without paying. ( described later )

Number of generals included: 73 (as of 1/12/2024)

Epic Historic General (Glory)

The generals included are limited to newer and more popular generals than those included in the Epic Historic Generals (Premium), making them easier to obtain.
However, they are difficult to obtain without purchasing the $99.99 paid package.

Like the Epic Historic Generals (Premium), the newest generals are easier to get. (The odds of winning are relatively high.)

Epic Historic General

You can get a golden historic general at random. However, unlike the “Epic Historic General (Premium),” the golden historic generals available at the tavern are also included.

As with Premium and Glory, it is easy to obtain the latest generals. (The probability of winning is set relatively high.) However, the probability is lower than Premium and Glory.

Number of generals included: 153 (as of 1/12/2024)

Epic General

Golden generals are awarded at random. Not only “historic general” but also “non-historic general” will be included. (Generals that often appear in the tavern, have no helmet symbol, and use illustrations over and over)

As with Premium and Glory, it is easy to obtain the latest generals. (The probability of winning is set relatively high.) However, the probability is lower than that of the aforementioned “Epic Historic General” vouchers.

Number of generals included: 153 golden historic general + all golden non-historic general (as of 1/12/2024)

Legendary Historic General

You will receive a random purple historic general.

Number of generals included: 25 (as of 1/12/2024)

Legendary General

Purple generals will be awarded at random. Not only “historic general” but also “non-historic general” will be included. (Generals that often appear in the tavern, have no helmet symbol, and use illustrations over and over)

Number of generals included: 25 purple historic general + all purple non-historic general (as of 1/12/2024)

Historical General ([general’s Name])

You can get the generals designated by [general’s name].

Other

There are several other types, including some that include special generals not included in the Epic Historical General (Premium), and some that focus on the Art Hall’s “General Hall”, etc.

How to get without paying

Mysterious Puzzle

The first thing that players who just started the game should do.
If you complete the puzzle to level 10, you will get Cleopatra and Sanada Yukimura, who are useful in monster hunting.
Although they are Purple Generals, they are useful enough in the early stages of the game when it is hard to get Baibars.

Battlefield Shop

It is located in front of the wall in the castle.

If you earn badges and dragon crystals from Gaugamela and Constantinople, you can get golden historic general without paying.

During the event period, when a general is promoted by using blood of ares, some generals itself and fragments of generals will be obtained depending on the amount of the blood of ares used.

Lost Treasures Event

Collect “Golden Compasses” and search, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a reward.

Up to 10 golden compasses can be obtained per day by gathering resources and hunting monsters, and each search consumes a compass.

The 6th reward (Lv. 3) will give you an “Epic Historic General (Premium) x1”.

It is recommended as you can sometimes win it without paying.

General Portrait Exhibition Event

This is a valuable event where you can obtain Maarten Tromp and Flavius Aetius, which are required for the “General Hall” at the Art Hall but are difficult to obtain.

By collecting “General’s Invitations,” you can exchange them for vouchers.

If you do not pay, it will take some time to collect the invitations, but you will surely obtain the exchange vouchers.

If you complete all the quests, you will get “Epic Historic General x1”.

The difficulty level is quite high for users without payment. It is best not to rely on it too much.
(You need to make more than 500,000 soldiers of t13 or above for each of the 4 types of troops, so you need a lot of resources.)

Sealed Imperial Treasury Event

“Epic Hisstoric General (Premium)” is obtainable.

It can be redeemed at the “Relic Trading Post” for 500 Empire Ancient Coins.

Empire Ancient Coin can be obtained at random by opening chests in the “Imperial Treasures”.

To open the chest, you need the Treasure Key.
Treasure Key to the treasure chest can be obtained by doing the “Treasure Trial” quest or by purchasing a paid package.

All-Star Shop

(Not suitable for non-paying users.)

Located in the Battlefield Shop.

Officer General Chest x1 – 50 Galaxy Coins

Galaxy Coins can be obtained by reaching a certain rank in the All-Star Battlefield.
